DISCOVER MORE, AT YOUR OWN PACE

Kamakura feels
different on two wheels.

See more of Kamakura in one day by E-bike. Your route begins at Kamakura Station and visits Hokokuji’s bamboo grove, peaceful Myohonji Temple, Yuigahama Beach and the Great Buddha before exploring Sasuke Inari Shrine and Zeniarai Benten. Return to Kamakura Station at the end of the experience.

This is not a race. You’ll stop to walk through temple grounds, hear local stories and take photographs. The route includes riding on public roads, so confidence handling a bicycle in traffic is important.

YOUR GUIDE / TERRY

A local’s
way of seeing.

I’m Terry, the guide behind Kuchiake. I love showing visitors how the history of Kamakura connects with its quiet residential areas, sacred places and everyday coastal life.

On this E-bike tour, we’ll make time for stories, photographs and the scenery — not just the ride itself.

GOOD TO KNOW / BEFORE YOU RIDE

The experience
is active. Ride prepared.

E-bikes help with the hills, but they do not eliminate the need to ride safely. Kamakura has narrow lanes, slopes, pedestrians and roads shared with other vehicles. Some locations require you to park your bike and continue on foot.

Be comfortable cycling

You should be able to steer, brake, balance and follow the guide’s instructions on public roads. This is not a learn-to-ride lesson.

Bike fit and helmets

Participants must be at least 8 years old, fit a suitable rental bicycle and be comfortable cycling on public roads. Helmets are strongly recommended in Japan; please enquire before booking if you require one, especially for children.

Consider your health

Riding on public roads may not be suitable for travelers who are pregnant or have significant heart, back or mobility-related health concerns. Please contact Terry in advance if you are unsure whether the activity is appropriate.

Weather and route changes

The tour is weather-dependent. If conditions are unsuitable, Terry will discuss the safe options and the cancellation or rescheduling terms communicated before booking. Follow local traffic regulations and the guide’s safety briefing.
